Would you confuse the new Woolworths logo with the Apple logo?

No. you can see they are different and because the apple brand is so well known, i doubt it will be confused by the new woolworths one. You can easily recognise the Woolworths one as being a w. Although I dont see the point of the moon shaped part on the top.
