The Mist movie ending?

Who has seen this movie? Did the book have a different ending? I just watched this movie and have never been so pissed at the ending of a movie than in this one. I don't want to give anything away to those who may not have seen it but damn I am SO mad right now. Yea I know it's just a movie but dammit the ending sucked!!!
